This is a photo of the head of the Scientology Disaster Relief Team in Java, Indonesia giving a seminar on basic Scientology principles. His beautiful interpreter is an Indonesian woman who recently became a Scientology Volunteer Minister herself.

The work the disaster relief team is doing in Indonesia is incredible. When you consider how much the people of this country have had to live through in the past 2 years, first with the tsunami, then the two earthquakes over the past few months, it is really amazing how reziliant they are. There is so much interest in Scientology technology to address the mental and spiritual effects of these calamities, and it I am so glad there is a team of VMs there, helpiing the people of the area.

A couple of years ago, Mr. David Miscavige gave a speech in which he described the work of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers. What he described was pretty impressive at that time but all the more so today with so many VMs active in disasters over the past two years.

There is news updated daily on the Scientology Press Office site about the Scientology Volunteer Ministers.
