Here's a photo I found on the Scientology Effective Solutions web site of a rally in Padua where the Youth for Human Rights International 2006 World Tour premiered one of their new human rights public service announcements.

One of the things that attracted me to the Scientology religion to begin with was the orientation to human rights. I have heard many people "talk the talk" - don't discriminate, all people should be treated equally - but then when it came to putting it into practice in personal relationships they fell so short of the mark.

But as a Scientologist when you realize you are a spirit and a body is something you HAVE not something you ARE it puts a whole new dimension on things. As Lauren Mara says on her Scientology and Human Rights web site: "Scientologists know that man is a spiritual being -- an immortal spirit temporarily inhabiting a body. When one has understanding and certainty on this fact, the idea of discrimination based on body type becomes as ridiculous as discriminating against someone based on the brand of automobile they drive."
